Rotund and "lovin it"

Future Retro

Art Deco

This is my current favorite poster out right now. I've only seen the alternate version hanging in theaters so it makes me wonder if the Golden Arches put the smack down on displaying this one. Ironically though, this image of a roly-poly Ronald has kind of a heart warming appeal, maybe McDonald's should adopt it as it's new 21st Century corporate mascot.

Close runner up for favorite posters out now. Behold a movie poster with NO IMAGES of the stars anywhere to be seen - no floating heads, no half faces, nothing. It does a perfect job of simultaneously evoking a 30's retro feel with futuristic sci-fi. This one really needs to be seen hanging in a lit poster case to do it justice. Always been a sucker for Sci-Fi that takes place in the past.

When I saw the Sky Captain poster I immediately though of one of my all time favorites. Both similarly leave the stars OFF the poster and go for a mood. The image tells you immediately that it takes place in the 30's and it's about a guy who can fly - what else do you need to know? I put this one up from time to time and it serves as a reminder of what kind of movies Disney could make if they really wanted to.
