First of all, does Milla Jovavich still have a film career? Remember
when she was the talk of the town in the months leading up to the
Joan of Arc biopic? Then the film was a letdown
and she started making crap like this. She's fighting zombies in
a bath towel fer chrissake! The tagline is hilariously bad. "My
name is Alice and I remember everything." Well guess what?
My name is the American Viewing Public and I remember every lousy
movie you make. I like the juxtaposition of a graveyard in front
of the city skyline, but the Photoshop work looks like a college
graphic design majors' portfolio site. Or maybe a Fear Factory album
cover. |
Now showing: Alexander,
starring the head of Colin Farrell and a bunch of overpaid actors'
names in a REALLY HUGE FONT. Yes, its the final evolution of the movie
poster as advertisement. Gone is any trace of art or creativity. Why
hire a talented painter when you can toss an actors' 8x10 into the
computer and fade out below the neckline? After all,
his hunky face is the only important thing in the world. I never thought
I'd miss the late 90s style posters with the faces half faded into
darkness. |
