Born 1970
As a child growing up in New England, Matt wanted to be an illustrator
and cartoonist. When he wasn't expressing himself with pencil
and paper, he'd spend afternoons knocking back Cokes with friends
and enjoying such cinema wonders as The Empire Strikes Back
and Superman II. In high school and college he got involved
in film and video. It wasn't long before he was hooked. After
becoming a regular fixture at his local access station, he wrote
and directed Donut World: Just Say No, a short-form video
PSA-parody which received a Massachusetts Cable Television Commission
Award.
At Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire he
met his compadres at thefilmbasement.com and studied film and screenwriting
while appearing on the cable access comedy show After Dark.
His time at Keene State inspired him to write the full length screenplay
Lie, Cheat and Steal, which may or may not be coming to a
theater near you, depending upon whether or not Matthew hits the
lottery.
Matthew was the co-founder of low-budget-video group
Rage Warehouse Productions and is seeking agency representation
as an actor/writer/director.
